Racing to English contains over 350 language teaching activities. The activities are presented as Word documents that you can print out and use with your pupils/students.
The activities have been developed for children and adults learning English (EAL, ESL, ESOL or EFL). They encourage focused language work and promote group work/learner interaction. The activities are at beginner and intermediate level.
They have been successfully used with pupils/students at both primary and secondary level and also with adults who are learning English. The activities have also been used with pupils/students with hearing impairment, with pupils/students who have particular learning needs and with whole classes in primary schools.
Racing to English has been used by over 3000 teachers, particularly teachers of English as an additional language. Read some of the many testimonials from teachers around the world.
Racing to English has been developed by Gordon Ward
Gordon has been involved in English as an additional language and the achievement of minority ethnic pupils for 40 years. Until he retired, he was service manager of the Ethnic Minority Services, Nottingham City Children’s Services. He is now an independent EAL trainer/consultant.
